I was in NYC visiting Mr. JK recently, and he had a bottle of the Brasserie Pietra Colomba hiding in his fridge. I am virtually certain that this is the first Corsican beer I have encountered. I do not know what kind of brewing tradition there is on Corsica, but based on this beer, I’d say it is halfway decent. This witbier poured a hazy yellow with fluffy meringue-like head. There was some lemon peel and herbal aromas which carried over to the taste, adding a touch of banana. It was nicely carbonated and refreshing. Not the best beer I have had, but it was not bad, and it is one I would have again, 6/10.
